And the Christmas Movie Countdown continues…here are some more of my favorite Christmas movies:

Ernest Saves Christmas (1989)

* This is one of those “guilty pleasure” movies, because it is certainly not in the same league as, say, It’s A Wonderful Life, but it is a good movie just the same! Ernest P. Worrell is such a memorable character and this is just a fun, silly movie!

The Bishop’s Wife (1947)

* Cary Grant is one of my favorite actors and in this classic Christmas movie he plays an angel sent to help a bishop (played by David Niven) and his beautiful wife (played by Loretta Young) during the holiday season. This is a sweet, charming, funny and romantic film, and I have watched this movie every December for the over 20 years!

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (1989)

* I have my cousin Matt and his mom Kathy to thank for introducing this movie to me and my family. We watched it with them and laughed nonstop, and this has become one of the favorite movies for my entire family! Chevy Chase is comic gold as Clark Griswald, going way over the top for Christmas, with hilariously inept results!

The Santa Clause (1994)

* I really like this movie, although its sequel is even better (in my opinion!) Tim Allen plays a divorced dad who becomes the unwilling replacement for Santa Claus, following an unfortunate accident at his house on Christmas Eve. This is a good, family-friendly Christmas movie!
